The Ever Versatile USB.

by Techsplosive on February 13, 2009

The USB (universal serial bus) was created by a collaborative group of companies in the later part of 1996.  Since then, the USB has become the universal standard for data transfer from gadget to computer.  A few other companies have developed thier own transfer means, but none have been a match for the USB.  SD cards have achieved a certain level of popularity in recent times, but most products using and SD card also utilize USB technology.  In short, USB is here for the long haul.

It is always fun to check out what different gadgets and widgets and toys and tools utilize USB technology.  Most technology utilizers will think of their digital camera, mp3 player, iPod, and PDA as the main components that use USB technology, and they are right.  But, what about the things they didn’t think of.  I bet not many people know about the USB missile launcher.  Or, what about the USB desk fan?  And just to add some holiday cheer – the USB Christmas tree.  In addition to making data transfer from gadget to computer simple, USB technology has been successful in adding some fun to the everyday office or computer desk.

These particular USB gadgetrons may not add “value” to your lifestyle, but they sure are excellent boredom killers.  There is no real need for these products to prove themselves.  USB technology has already done that for them.  USB technology has made data transfer between gadget and PC more simple than buttering toast.  So, why not goof off a little?

Total USB Techsplosive score?  An obvious 100.
