During every endeavour, there comes a point for reckoning. I reached this point of reckoning this week, and have decided to implement a few changes here at Techsplosive. I knew upon entering the technology and social media niche that it would not be easy. Knowing that a majority of the top 15 blogs on the internet are tech ones was fine with me, it gave me somthing to strive for. However, breaking into a niche that was heavily dominated and that has the authority to command the breaking news, releases, and insights from companies and other prominent people is quite difficult. I often am forced to react the the news that is broken, rather than build authority be reporting it.
So, I decided I had to come up with something a bit more new, unique and original. Something that the other tech and social media blogs do not do. I have decided, after a small test run with something called “Accessory Week” to now run on themed weeks, or months. I will also be testing a different format within the next few months, and going with daily static themes (e.g. – “Social Media Sunday”, “Start-up Saturday”, “Mobile Monday”, etc…) At the end of the test periods, I will compare the metrics – and decide from there. Luckily for you, all you need to do is sit back, read, and enjoy while I work hard to put something worth reading in front of you.
