PriceWhispers.com IS Revolutionizing Online Shopping.

by Techsplosive on April 23, 2009

PriceWhispers.com was already covered once very briefly here at Techsplosive, but following their latest press release they deserve some real estate of their own.

PriceWhispers is seeking to be for personal and everyday online shopping needs what Priceline.com is for travelers.  PriceWhispers envisions an ecommerce infrastructure where the shoppers name the price they want to pay for the goods they want to buy.  Essentially, PriceWhisper members will “bid” on products for sale by retailers based on the price that they want to pay for the item.  The retailer will then accept or reject the offer.  The PriceWhispers service is mutually beneficial in that it allows users to get goods at a lower cost, and it provides increased business volume and sales for retailers while still allowing them to have a certain amount of price control.

The program is in a “private” beta mode right now, and just signed on their first official PriceWhispers partner in lavishandlime.com – an eco-friendly novelty retailer and lemonlimekids.ca – a custom art retailer.  Despite the limited offering of stores to shop at, PriceWhispers co-founder Neil FitzGerald says that many more are on the way.

“We have a healthy pipeline of additional retailers across a broad spectrum of retail categories including Fashion Apparel, Sporting Goods, Jewelry and Home Furnishings lined up to join the Pricewhispers community over the next few months.”    – Neil FitzGerald PriceWhispers Co-Founder and Chief Executive

So, if you are tired of paying what the stores tell you, then tell the stores what you are going to pay.  For the complete skinny and an account to become part of the latest, greatest, and possibly the next big e-commerce trend on the internet click over to PriceWhispers.com and shout the news to all of your friends.
