I have always held PartnerUp.com as an invaluable resource for entrepreneurs looking to join up with others, grow their team, network, or simply learn from and interact with other like-minded individuals. However, until now I have always found PartnerUp to be a bit old fashioned and poorly designed. It seemed as though it was unable to really live up to its full potential.
While design should not diminish the helpfulness, effectiveness, value, or overall usability of a website it does affect a users overall impression and will to use a website. PartnerUp’s user interface was not at all difficult and was by most standards even simple. While I can’t vouch for thousands of visitors and members of the PartnerUp community, I am somewhat drawn to the idea that perhaps the reason that there was so little participation and interaction on the website was because of its awkward design and overall drab nature. Thanks to a major overhaul, PartnerUp.com looks like it could return to being the premier resource for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
PartnerUp’s new features provide added layers of value and resources to users. Their grouping feature gives users an extra networking capabilites and more exposure to make connections with other members of the PartnerUp community. Perhaps the most valuable new addition to the PartnerUp community is the Question and Answer page which allows anyone to ask a question in 140 characters or less and anyone else in the PartnerUp community to provide an answer. This sort of interaction and knowledge sharing is one of the things that allows the small business and entrepreneurship community to thrive.
If you fancy yourself to be the small business, startup, or entrepreneurship type PartnerUp is worth checking out for its incredible resources and its vast amounts of incredibly helpful information. If none of these things interest you, check out PartnerUp anyway because their new layout and design is pretty sweet.
