Designing your own postcards can be a fun way to show your creativity, and there are companies available to do the postcard printing for you. Postcards can be used for a multitude of reasons. They make great sales tools, they’re easy to carry in a purse or briefcase, and you can have your logo and contact information on them as well as promotional notices. Unlike small business cards, postcards have the space to add pictures of your product and other graphics that can attract customers’ attention.
You can create postcards to announce a move, showing your new address and phone number. Jazz it up and add a picture of your new home. This provides a personal touch to your announcement, and your friends and family will enjoy seeing your new place.
Postcards can be used for other announcements such as births and graduations. These days, people are even designing their own wedding invitations and using postcards instead of a bi-folded card.
Postcards can be printed on a variety of paper stocks, including different thicknesses and with a matte or glossy finish. They’re also available in a wide range of sizes, typically from 4” x 6” to 6” to 11”. Some printers use ultraviolet coating for the highest quality and durability. You might choose to finish your postcards with the UV coating if, for instance, you’re using them for a sales show where you’ll be passing out postcards to potential clients and want your product information to stand out from the competition.
Postcard printers often have templates and designs that you can use. In a matter of minutes, you can have your postcard ready for printing. Other services might include either offset printing for large orders or digital printing for shorter runs. In many cases, you can have your postcards the same day that you submit your design.

It was not too long ago (250-300 years) that books were a rather valuable commodity. Each family owned maybe one or two, with the more sophisticated and educated perhaps owning quite a few more. Now, books are on sale at some places for as low as 1cent, and are loaned, lent, and even given away for free at local libraries. As the times have changed, readership and readable medium has changed, and progressed hand-in-hand with the ongoing technological evolution. If you are a reader and are looking for new ways to experience text, or if you are content to continue on letting your eyes graze along the yellowed and worn pages of your favorite book, but are curious as to what other avid readers are pursuing – then have a look at 10 pieces of technology for the reader.

We could all use a few hints to make the best technology even better. Here are a few tips that will help anyone with an Iphone. There are a couple of tricks that assist in speeding up the day to day processes on the phone. For more updates and news, check out mobile phone reviews.

• Tapping the screen twice expands the view for photos, maps and internet pages.
• Double tapping will also restore photos, maps, internet pages as well as mail to the original size.
• Double tap the space bar when writing an MMS and the Iphone will automatically insert a period.
• When using the Keypad, usually a person has to click on “.?123” then click the number then click “ABC” to get back to the letters. If you press “.?123” and drag your finger to the appropriate number opposed to lifting your figure and then pressing then number, the keypad will automatically jump back to the “ABC” screen which saves an entire step.
• Do not take the time to press the arrow on the keypad to capitalize. If you double click the space bar which inserts an automatic period, the Iphone recognizes necessary capitalization.
• If you hold down the home button, it will quit any app. And take you back to the home screen.
• If the Iphone freezes, hold down the home button for six seconds to quit
• Hold down the home button and the Sleep button (on the top right) at the same time for a few seconds if you want to reset
iPod tips for the IPhone:
The Iphone comes with ear buds. These are unique and compatible with the Iphone only. Here are some cool things you can do with these ear buds that you may not have known.
There is a small switch on the right cord attached to the ear piece. This is a microphone and can be used for talking and answering the phone. It also adjusts music on the iPod
• Squeeze once to pause a song, squeeze it again to continue playing
• Squeeze twice to move to next song selection
If a call comes in when listening to music:
• Squeeze the piece once to answer
• Squeeze and hold to send a call to your voice mail

I read an article recently about how the current economic recession has created a new wave entrepreneurship. While most notable entrepreneurship takes place among those who have a little bit more life experience (a nice way of saying they are older), there has been quite a revolution in entrepreneurship in the 14 – 22 year old crowd. I fancy myself to be a bit of an entrepreneur, and as a result want to share my top 10 resources for all of the young and aspiring entrepreneurs who might be reading.

People do search for jobs outside of economic recessions, however loss of a job and unemployment make job searches even of a necessity. Many job hunters don’t really know how good they have it. Rather than letting the local paper scam you into working for a CutCo Knives distributor or a Kirby Vacuum dealer, the job searcher might want to employ technology to find some work worth doing.
The greatest piece of technology available to the job hunter, is the internet. A significant number of websites whose sole purpose is to find jobs for job hunters are at your disposal. I’m not talking about the big names like Monster or CareerBuilder either. As far as I know, these sites “job listings” are more or less just a different form of consumer advertisements, and provide little value. A few people may have found favor at these places, and perhaps a helpful resume tip or two as well, but it is unlikely that your next (enjoyable) job will be found there. Outlined below are a few great websites, ideas, and tips designed to help the job hunter utilize technology to find employment. [click to continue...]

Ranking the most played online games can be difficult considering differences in perceptions and choices among gaming fans. However, if we take parameters such as popularity, ease of play, community support, and value for money into consideration, then the following Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGs) make the grade and fill the top five slots for the most played games, online.

World of Warcraft
The best online game from Blizzard, probably, the best online game in the world! Apart from fantastic graphics and ease of play, two other things that stand out in this game is the feature that enables you to leave play and resume from the same point. The other is the constant updates that Blizzard keeps adding to the game’s features.
Final Fantasy XI (Game Lair)
Final Fantasy XI (Game Lair) from Square takes the second spot for me. Three features that stand out in this game are its huge popularity, superb storyline and ease of play.
Aion
Almost equal to WoW in features, Aion finds itself in the third slot due to excellent graphics and playability. Aion is all about the exploration of an ethereal world divided by good on side and evil on the other. Two features that stand out: PvPvE system and the ability of its characters to fly.
City of Heroes (Game Lair)
Though City of Heroes finds the third spot on the list, this game is good enough fill the No1 slot if ease of play is the taken as the only benchmark. This is the best MMORPG available for casual gamers.
Eve Online
A list of top 5 online games cannot be complete without a sci-fi MMORPG. Eve Online is the best Internet based video game for sci-fi lovers. Players can enter a surreal world where gamers can indulge in corporate wars and try to take control of the economy apart from indulging in exciting and engaging game play.
All 5 games are top draws, but they have a downside, too—they are highly addictive!

In a previous post, it was brought to my attention that product portability may not be such a great feature after all. In the event of items getting lost or stolen, all of the data contained on the gadget is lost with the device. I made the suggestion to routinely back up information so that, assuming it is very important, it remains safe even if the hardware doesn’t.
There are two basic ways to backup data. Many people, in recent times, have chosen to use external hard drives to store information and backup their computers. External hard drives are a great solution, but do pose a few different problems as well. [click to continue...]

Comics have become a part of the daily lives of many people. Like most of the things that are findable content-wise on the internet, comics also found their initial success in print media. The growing popularity of the internet brough many of us users to realize that not only can clever artists create comics, but clever graphic designers and flash developers can as well.
While some web comics are more niche focused, and resonate with smaller particular audiences, some have hit the big time and have turned into sustainable businesses (think homestarrunner.com). Despite the varying success of the plethora of web comics on the internet, [click to continue...]
